I'm ready for my Shigeru SK-EX. Going to buy one soon!

I'm a bit confused. I thought when I used setup I could choose what piano I wanted for the main piano slot to save in banks 1-8. However it seems not. For instants on set up using Piano and bank number 3 (second row down) it doesn't allow me to choose the EX piano.

Amazing musical approach. How musically you balanced the very different eras music. It’s really difficult to merge both the composition but you have made it sounds like one composition. Absolutely fantastic 🙌🙌❤❤ Just a little feedback I have to give that the reverb on recording is too much and because of that music is not coming out in-depth.

I was excited owning one because I saw the best reviews. Now I have had nearly 2 years. I don’t think it is that worth. I could have spend less money with other digital piano. I realized that there are no Kawai special technicians. It took me over a year to have someone come to see my piano issues. He only solved one problem - pedal was not responsive . Still have squeaky noise . Also my piano has ringing sound issues , he had no clue. He said he was not Kawai tech? But general digital piano tech. I don’t feel much different from less priced kawai digital piano. If I could buy one , I’ll spend less money with other one.

Kawai, you NAILED it with this one, especially this beautiful CN201. The sound was so beautiful and full it almost made me cry. the CN301 was great too but I liked the sound on the Cn201 better. Might be that the sound is coming from below- so it bounces back from the floor creating a fuller sound. And the feel and action of the keys is unmatched. If I was blindfolded, I probably would have assumed it was an accoustic. The CN201 also outshined all competitor brand models. And even much more expensive ones. Great job Kawai 👏🏻 can’t wait till it’s in my home. ❤

I bought the ES-110 and it had an awful flaw. It had case noise in the middle of the keyboard. I returned it 2 times for inspection in the service. They returned it back saying that the piano works well. I would recommend testing this piano on its own piano stand. It will get curved in the middle and bend -> thus creating a case noise and some keys are louder than the sample itself. In every UA-cam video, the piano is connected to the audio interface, so you cannot hear the case noise or any other loud noise that the keys make. I had to put a metal stand underneath the keyboard just to stop the loud noise. And the ES-120 is the same, nothing has changed. The samples are incredible and the feeling is nice. But the case structure is terrible. I read some stories about the fact that the transportation does damage to the piano. So when the piano arrives in Europe / U.S., the structure arrives damaged. Therefore, random case noises or clipping noises will appear in the near future. They always reply: "Its normal for the piano to have a noise when you press the key." - of course it is, but not when the case noise / clipping noise is 10x louder than the sound the piano was supposed to deliver...

yeah but kawai sounds inferior. I would still choose others

In Norway, an overhauled Steinway Model M (170 cm) costs about as much as a brand new Kawai baby grand (157 cm). (I don't like the baby word). I'd certainly go for the Kawai, unless test playing would prove disappointing, which I don't expect.

Sounds great, but looks like a hearse from outer space. 😂 If I woke up to this every morning, I think I'd eventually start rolling my eyes or fearing for my life! 🤣 Mind you, if I spent $19,000 on a piano, you better believe they'd bury me in it! (and debt, of course) 😁

Shame about the mini drum roll after each and every keystroke. Especially when playing pianissimo. Kawai tell me The ES920 features the Responsive Hammer Action III which includes counterweights and weighted hammers in order to create as realistic response as possible in an instrument of that size/specification. As with mechanical actions in real acoustic pianos, the weighted and moving components do generate noise when played (when keys are pressed and released), this is unavoidable due to the nature of piano actions - however in acoustic pianos the volume is not adjustable, so the notes often ‘drown out’ the mechanical sound of the action. In digital pianos the volume can be reduced, allowing the action noise to appear more prominent, this will be accentuated in pianissimo passages. As this action has been designed to be as authentic to an acoustic piano experience as possible for the specification, the action is responding as it is designed and this is not a fault with your instrument. Setting the volume at 80-100% and placing the ES920 in a solid wood stand (such as the HML-1) will set the closest conditions to a piano and offset some of the mechanical action sound, placing the stand on a rug or carpet will reduce this further as solid floors can accentuate mechanical noise further. Sooo, that's all well and good but is the key bounce noise still irritating? - Hell yeh. I can even hear it over my headphones. Wish I'd gone for the P-515 instead
